The Coming Future of ChatGPT, LLMs Robotics and Role Playing Games
Large Language Models are going to redefine our daily lives before the end of the 2020s. They should be a part of your daily work life right now, but let me tell you of the near future and autonomous robots.
All my memorable life I’ve wanted to take revenge on inanimate things, especially the NES, and thanks to ChatGPT I can finally try. I can have ChatGPT and the other LLMs, including competitive open source LLMs that run on laptops, act as Role Playing Characters.
The Character models itself on a loyal servant of the home. The character is a player in a mechanical role playing game. The character is trained to speak in three voices:
- Speaking Voice, for asking questions and talking over things with members of the house
- Internal Monologue, for articulating plans internally, recording them, to later revise
- Action Voice, a voice trained to a specific set of commands, that guide a robot through the world, and take advantage of APIs at the robot’s disposal
Through these three voices one has the tools to create an autonomous, planning helpful robot.
The next step is for there to be additional LLMs that interact with the Character, certain layers of “Jiminy Cricket.” Jiminy watches for trailing conclusions in the Internal Monologue and asks follow up questions.
